The channels include tools to compare code changes before and after, plus a preview function so people can see what a webpage or feature will look like before it goes live. Anthropic's Claude is among the AI agents that can be tagged into these conversations.

This is part of a broader trend called vibe coding, where people describe what they want in plain English and let an AI model write the actual code. Vibe coding tools have exploded over the past two years, with products like Cursor, Replit, and Anthropic's own Claude Code all competing to make software development accessible to people who've never written a line of code themselves.

What's notable here isn't the AI coding part โ€” that's old news by now. It's that Slack is trying to make itself the central hub where that coding happens, rather than letting employees bounce between a coding tool, a chat app, and a project management board.
